Upon entering the water park, guests walk along a rendition of the Smith River, and open up to a large rock formation, known as Ridgemount Point with pine and conifer trees engulfing it. The top of this mountain range, known as the Crow's Peak, is filled with many water based activities for the guests to explore. Rather than sit on sand or concrete, like you do at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, at River Country, your lounge chairs will be on grass (see below) and you will be among the wilderness.
Grassy area would be where the guests sit, the river is the lazy river, and the tree-covered cliffs are where the slides and trails are.
Gone Fishin'
The lazy river that goes throughout all of River Country. As it passes by each area, floating guests will be treated to different scenery. This would be the scenery they would see in this area of the park.

Giddy-Up Gulch
In a two to three person tube, guests set off from the top of Ridgepoint Mountain, and begin to slide down the mountain. The adventure begins with a small 10 foot drop and a sharp left curve, into the interior of the mountain. Inside the mountain are props from explorers and hikers who have made camp inside the mountain. Then you hear and feel a rumbling in the water. Guests splash back and forth in the rough rapids, and pass by signs that say "Danger" and "Falling Rocks Ahead" The river looks like it ends, but the adventure is only beginning. A curve in the river sends the guests on a banked downward spiraling curve in the dark. The screams and cheers echo throughout the mountain and you exit the mountain on a straight-away into a poolside exit area below.
Back-Snapper Bend
Next to Giddy-Up Gulch are four unique slides in an area known to the locals as Back-Snapper Bend. Legend has it that adventurous folk dare each other to test the currents that flow from the top of the mountain, with four streams comprised of four different experiences. The first slide takes guests around the outside of the mountain, and along the cliffs, circling around to look at Bay Lake for a brief moment before circling down to the bottom. The second slide takes you on a twisting and high banked curve adventure in and out of the mountain, before a large splashdown. The third slide is completely indoors after take off, as guests don't know which way they are going throughout the entire ride before exiting at the bottom. The fourth slide is a combination of inside and outside, going back and forth twice, with a 720 degree spinning finale into the water below.
